Rebekah Williamson is the founder and visionary leader of Sunova Therapy, established in 2024. With over a decade of experience in child development and behavioral therapy, Rebekah is committed to creating high-quality, evidence-based therapeutic services for children and families.
Rebekah holds a Master of Science in Instruction and Curriculum Leadership with a concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and is a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). She is currently pursuing her Doctorate of Philosophy in Educational Psychology and Research at the University of Memphis. Her academic journey reflects a lifelong passion for education, behavior science, and empowering children with developmental needs.
Before founding Sunova Therapy, Rebekah served as the Director of Interdisciplinary Clinical Services at the University of Memphis, where she led teams to improve clinical service delivery, streamlined operations, and achieved substantial growth in staffing and programs. Her experience also includes direct ABA therapy for children with autism spectrum disorders and collaborating with educators, healthcare providers, and families to ensure holistic care.
Rebekah’s leadership style is defined by compassion, innovation, and collaboration. At Sunova Therapy, her mission is to provide individualized, family-centered services that promote growth, independence, and success for every child.

Makayla Clements is a Master's graduate in Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) from the University of Memphis. With a deep passion for helping children and families, she combines her expertise in ABA with over two years of experience in customer service, leadership, and volunteer work, making her a valuable asset at Sunova Therapy as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT).
Makayla's strong academic foundation includes a Master’s degree in ABA and a Bachelor's degree in Integrative Studies with a minor in Youth Services/ABA. She graduated Magna Cum Laude and earned a place on the Dean’s List with a 3.8 GPA. Her education has equipped her with the skills to provide effective, evidence-based behavioral interventions to children and families.
As a volunteer Youth Activity Assistant for Bridge Builders, Makayla worked with youth in Memphis to support extracurricular activities and community engagement. Her diverse experience, combined with her education, makes her committed to creating positive outcomes for children and families in the therapeutic setting.
Makayla is fluent in Spanish (Intermediate) and is excited to use her skills in ABA, leadership, and communication to support the goals of Sunova Therapy and help families achieve lasting success.
Ania Mohn is a dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) at Sunova Therapy, with a strong background in special education and a passion for the positive development of children. Ania earned her Bachelor’s degree in Education from the University of Memphis, where she focused primarily on special education. She has over three years of experience working with children between the ages of 2 to 17 years old in various settings, including schools and therapy environments.
Ania’s work is driven by her deep commitment to education and the growth of children, and she finds great joy in witnessing the progress that children make through consistent, personalized care. Her experience has provided her with a comprehensive understanding of working with diverse needs, including developing individualized strategies to support children’s learning and behavioral goals.
Currently, Ania is preparing to further her expertise by pursuing a Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), expanding her skills to make an even greater impact on the children and families she works with.
When she’s not working, Ania enjoys spending time with her dog, Zayne, taking long walks and enjoying the outdoors.
Ania is excited to apply her experience, passion, and ongoing education in her role at Sunova Therapy, helping children and families achieve meaningful and lasting progress.
Madelyn is a dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) at Sunova Therapy, with a strong foundation in Child Development and Family Studies. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Memphis with a Bachelor’s degree in Child Development and Family Studies, concentrating in Child Life, while being recognized on both the President’s and Dean’s List.
Madelyn’s experience includes extensive Child Life work at Spence and Becky Wilson Baptist Children’s Hospital, where she served as both a Child Life Practicum Student and a Child Life Volunteer. During her time at the hospital, she shadowed specialists in the Emergency Department, PICU, and NICU, using therapeutic play to help children cope with medical diagnoses and procedures. She also created custom activity books as part of her final project to help children better understand their diagnoses.
In addition to her hospital experience, Madelyn has worked in various child-focused roles, including as a Nanny, a Preschool Assistant, and a Newborn Hearing Screener, where she honed her skills in child care, communication, and behavior management. She also served as President of the Child Life Association at the University of Memphis, where she organized activities to teach students how to incorporate therapeutic play in hospital settings.
Madelyn expanded her practical experience as an RBT at a local ABA clinic, where she collaborated with a BCBA to implement behavior intervention plans (BIP/BSP) and utilized Natural Environment Teaching (NET) and Stimulus-Based Training (SBT) to build rapport and help clients progress.
Through her experience with diverse populations and settings, Madelyn has developed a deep commitment to supporting children’s emotional and developmental needs. She is excited to continue using her expertise in behavior analysis and her passion for child development to make a positive impact at Sunova Therapy.
Kennedy Black is a dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) at Sunova Therapy, with a deep passion for supporting children and families. Kennedy holds a Bachelor of Health Sciences in Child Development from the University of Memphis.
Kennedy’s background includes significant experience working with children and families in a variety of settings. She has experience supporting classroom teachers in creating a safe and enriching learning environment. Her hands-on experience has allowed her to develop strong skills in promoting independence and ensuring optimal developmental outcomes for children.
In addition to her role at Sunova Therapy, Kennedy is an active member of her community. She has held leadership roles such as Assistant Secretary for Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., and has served as a Weeks of Welcome Leader at the University of Memphis, helping incoming students adjust to campus life. She has also contributed to numerous service projects, including volunteering for community development in Peru, working on food insecurity efforts in Charlotte, NC, and promoting sustainability in Asheville, NC.

Tanasia Matthews is a dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) at Sunova Therapy, bringing over three years of experience in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Tanasia holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Mississippi and is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis at Capella University, with anticipated completion in June 2025.
Throughout her career, Tanasia has delivered compassionate and effective ABA therapy in both center-based and school settings, supporting children with autism and other developmental needs. She is skilled in implementing behavior reduction plans, facilitating skill acquisition programs, and collaborating closely with families and caregivers to track progress and achieve meaningful outcomes.

Sydney Smith is a dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) at Sunova Therapy, passionate about working with children and families to create positive, lasting change. Sydney graduated from the University of Memphis, with a degree in Child Development and Family Studies.
Sydney brings a diverse skill set to her role, with experience in childcare, customer service, and volunteer work. She has worked with well-established agencies focused on early childhood learning in Memphis, where she developed strong communication skills and gained hands-on experience working with children.
Sydney is known for her adaptability, responsibility, and positive attitude, which she brings to every role she takes on. At Sunova Therapy, Sydney is eager to apply her knowledge, experience, and passion for helping others to support children and families in achieving meaningful goals.
Maya Benson is an aspiring social worker and Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) at Sunova Therapy, currently pursuing her Master's in Social Work at the University of Memphis. Maya holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Memphis, with a minor in Social Work, and has completed coursework in areas such as Social Psychology, Human Behavior, and Health Psychology.
Maya brings a diverse skill set to her role as an RBT, with experience providing therapy as a Healing Counselor, where she worked with individuals navigating grief and loss. She has also interned as a Medical Assistant, providing compassionate care to patients in hospice settings. Her experience in community development and youth support at urban non-profits in Memphis has further sharpened her skills in program development, communication, and mentorship.

Her work in the community, including over 100 hours of volunteer service at Habitat for Humanity, demonstrates her dedication to making a positive impact.

Laken Edwards is a dedicated Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) at Sunova Therapy, where she brings expertise in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to support children and families in the Memphis area. Laken holds a Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis from the University of Memphis, and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Mississippi State University.
With a strong foundation in ABA, Laken is passionate about delivering individualized, evidence-based interventions to help children achieve their fullest potential. Prior to becoming a BCBA, she worked as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) at Project Memphis Ready, where she provided direct behavioral services, conducted assessments, and collaborated with families to enhance developmental outcomes.
Laken’s experience extends to roles as a Developmental Therapist for Behavior, where she supported children with diverse needs in achieving progress through targeted behavioral strategies. Laken’s diverse background in both clinical and community settings positions her as an empathetic and skilled clinician committed to making a meaningful impact in the lives of children and families.
In her personal life, Laken enjoys the company of her two dogs and has a deep love for coffee, making her a true connoisseur of the perfect cup. Her leadership skills were also honed during her time as a Shift Leader at Strange Brew Coffee House, where she worked with teams to deliver exceptional service.

Gabriela Zarate is a dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) at Sunova Therapy, with a strong passion for supporting children and families through Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Gabriela earned her Bachelor of Professional Studies in Child Development and Family Studies from the University of Memphis and is currently pursuing her Master of Science in Applied Behavior Analysis at the University of Memphis.
With experience spanning clinical, school-based, and community settings, Gabriela brings expertise in implementing behavior intervention plans, skill acquisition programs, and behavior reduction strategies tailored to each child's needs. She has worked directly with clients to develop functional communication, social skills, and daily living abilities, ensuring measurable progress through careful data collection and reporting.
Gabriela is also committed to professional growth and leadership. She has served in various roles such as President of UMABA and Student Ambassador Board VP, demonstrating her dedication to fostering collaboration and success both within the community and among her peers. As a Spanish speaker, Gabriela is able to connect with and support a diverse range of families, ensuring care that is inclusive and culturally responsive.

Myaunna Morton is an aspiring social worker and Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) at Sunova Therapy, where she brings a strong passion for supporting children and families. Myaunna is currently pursuing a degree in Psychology at the University of Memphis, with plans to expand her knowledge of child development and behavioral health.
Myaunna’s background includes hands-on experience in various customer service and workforce development roles where she honed her communication and multitasking skills. She has also participated in the Student Ambassador Program through the City of Memphis (Office of Youth Services), assisting in workforce development initiatives and mentoring youth.
In addition to her work experience, she has also volunteered for organizations such as Memphis Rock, Memphis Food Bank, and Nashville Food Bank, gaining experience working with diverse populations.

Tammy is a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) at Sunova Therapy, bringing over 17 years of experience in the medical and behavioral health fields. Tammy has an extensive background as a Mental Health Technician, Certified Nurse Assistant, and Dialysis Technician, allowing her to provide exceptional care to clients with various physical and mental health needs.
Tammy has experience with individualized treatment plans, managing challenging behaviors, and tracking client progress in one-on-one sessions. Her background in healthcare provides her with a unique ability to approach each client with patience, empathy, and a strong commitment to their well-being. Tammy’s communication skills with families and professionals ensure a collaborative, supportive environment for all those involved in the treatment process.
Throughout her career, Tammy has developed proficiency in areas such as CPR, EKG, CPI Certification, and Crisis Intervention, along with expertise in documenting, data entry, and providing group therapy. Her skills in leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving are vital assets that contribute to her success in the RBT role.
